#43 Night of the Living Dead 1990

One of the better zombie movies I have watched so far. I liked this one better than the original for a variety of reasons.

1. Color is better when dealing with zombies. To get the full impact of blood it needs to be red.
2. The ending was less hopeful to me. While the world is set right, it still shows the brutality of the living equaling that of the dead. Plus the real bad guy in the film gets what he deserves.
3. I have a crush on the lead actress. She was in Army of Darkness, and several scifi series too. But most importantly she greatly reminds me of Mary Stuart Masterson in Some Kind of Wonderful. These two women in these two films are not your average, everyday cuteness. They are...ADVANCED cuteness.

Mary Stuart Masterson? Really?

In that movie. Do you think she got the part based on her mad acting skillz alone? Don't tell me you preferred Lea Thompson.

Come on Kris, back me up on this.

Um ... exactly! Right! (What am I backing you up on? Whether MSM is cute? or whether that chick is reminiscent of MSM?) For the record, if anyone is keeping track of feelings about three-name actresses called Mary, I vastly prefer Mary Louise Parker. swoon

No, didn't prefer Lea Thompson - I never really saw her appeal in general. I was going to ask Kris her opinion about MSM as well, because MSM is kinda...lesbian-y in that particular movie - tomboy, ya know, short-cropped hair, all that stereotype. And she hasn't been in anything else of significance after that movie, has she? Nothing I remember much.

MSM and MLB were in FGT together. Weird.

Well, yes, "Fried Green Tomatoes," which is pretty much why MSM makes me think of MLP. And talk about dykey! MSM was way dykey in that movie. But to answer the question on everybody's mind: MSM is OK. She is not MLP, though. I would throw myself in front of a train if it meant I could have a night of unrestrained passion with MLP.

But wait ... I guess I'd have to do that in reverse order.

Yeah, and then what would be your motivation to throw yourself under the train if you've already had the reward?

Well, perhaps I would sign a notarized document attesting that I give my consent to be thrown in front of a train afterward. I am willing to negotiate on these details. I would be especially eager to enter into such a deal if I could specify that the train not be moving when I threw myself in front of it.

Todd, thank you for using scientific measures to prove my point that MLP is the hottest Mary-something-something goin'.

Does this mean that GWB is hotter than JFK? Or a better president?

I'm just not sure it is an accurate measure of hotness.

Well, W is clearly hotter from a google search point of view. And that's all I meant about MLP vs. MSM, of course. Except that MLP is way sexier, too. But everybody knows that.

Clearly there is some sort of flaw in their alogrithms, as this example shows.

Wow, I just saw this while reminiscing. I have to concede. Clearly Todd is superior to me (not to mention hotter than I am).
